His obituary: Bruce Shaw, September 25, 1952 – April 11, 2020. Bruce Shaw, 67, of Marietta, GA died Saturday, April 11, 2020. He was a native of Marietta, a Sprayberry High School and UGA College of Pharmacy graduate. He began his career at Kennestone Hospital until he founded Whitlock Pharmacy in 1982 which he owned and managed until 1995. He then founded the non-profit organization Caribbean Professional Resources matching medical graduates to underserved communities, and worked at various pharmacies in Marietta. In 2006 he moved to St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. where he lived and worked full-time until 2019. He was a businessman, a former Marietta City Councilman, a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer, and a member of the St. Thomas Reformed Church. He is survived by his father Gilbert Shaw; brother, Charles Shaw; sister, Sadie Palmer; daughter, Indya Miller; sons, Andrew, Patrick, and Bruce Shaw, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and former spouse Jane Andrews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence Randolph Shaw; brother, Robert A. Shaw; and former spouse Carol Evatt. Due to the coronavirus pandemic a service will not be held at this time.
