Randy Lowe. Randy died on August 6, 2017.
His obituary: Randall Randy Hugh Lowe, August 20, 1951 – August 6, 2017. Randall Hugh Lowe, age 65, passed away on August 6, 2017, after a long, courageous battle with prostate cancer. Randall, or Randy as he was known to his friends and family, was the fourth of six children born to Weldon and Evelyn Lowe. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 20th, 1951, but soon his family moved from Georgia to Florida, where Randy spent most of his childhood. Next they moved to Richmond, VA, and finally returned to Georgia when he was in high school. Randy graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1970, then attended Kennesaw Jr. College for a little while before he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. In Vietnam, he was stationed in Phu Bai from Jan. 1 – Nov 2 of 1972. Following his war duty, he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, in El Paso, Texas. In 1973 he married Dianne Heath, and after his tour of duty was finished in 1974, they moved back to Georgia. After attending Southern Tech and Control Data, he worked in the computer business for about ten years. For the last 20+ years of his career, Randy worked at Jasper Jeep, a dealership owned by his older brother. He was a very good salesman, and his humor and character won him many return clients and friends. During those years, Randy and Dianne added five children, and later their spouses to their family: Jonathan(Amy), Meredith(Josh Ward), Austin(Amanda), Daniel(Amanda), and Amy(Bryan Dykstra). Now they also have seven grandchildren: Linley, Heath, Payton, Eli, Hartisan, Vesper, and Rileigh. Randy genuinely cared about the welfare of others, and would go out of his way to help others, even if it was a sacrifice for him. Often, when he would see policemen, firemen, or military people eating in a restaurant, he would pay for their meal without their knowledge. He was saved at a young age in Florida, and was an active member of several Baptist churches throughout his lifetime. On several occasions, he went on Builders for Christ construction trips to various places in the U.S. He will always be remembered as a loving father who treasured spending time with his family. He was a lover of the outdoors and instilled the same desires in his children. Hunting, fishing, and camping were some of his favorite pastimes. He was a compassionate, selfless, fun-loving man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a servant's heart. Randy Lowe will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
