Mr. Dennis Lamar Strickland age 68 of Laurel Wood Blue Ridge passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 29, 2025 in the N.E. GA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Strickland was born on December 15, 1956 in Marietta, GA., the son of the late J.B. Strickland and the late Estelle Stroup Strickland. Dennis was a veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed riding through the mountains. He loved to joke and was always a happy person who loved life. Dennis was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Strickland are two daughters, Emily Harris of FL., Jade Strickland of FL., one son, Joshua Strickland of MN., his adopted family are, Lisa and Floyd Ballance, Tammy and Dustin McElwaney, Connor McElwaney, Brandon Balance and Timmy Caldwell all of Blue Ridge, three grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mr. Strickland's memory.
