1982 Echo

The text on page 269, part of which is unreadable, is as follows:
"...alive with spirit. Freedom and trust are needed to give it personality. However, a place must keep rules and respect to keep a strong foundation. A cycle of change to sameness to change is present anywhere. And, Sprayberry is more than just a place. The potential of Sprayberry is tremendous. A good deal is used by everyone everyday. A greater deal more has yet to be developed. It takes the willingness of staff and students to bring these pontentials to life. It is this joint goal that makes the school unique among all others. No where else could one find the kind of people who live at Sprayberry Senior High School. The year was one of changes. Leaders were borne and died. Wars were fought and lost. Games were played and won. People did what they thought was right and tried to gain the attention of others. Hundreds joined to prepare for the unknown future. But, no matter what, Sprayberry was dominant because the more things change, the more things stay the same."
