Smith Jr. – The funeral for Charles Roland Charlie Smith Jr., 18, of Marietta, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mayes Ward Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta. Mr. Smith, a student at Marietta-Cobb Area Vocational Technical School, died Thursday. He was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta. A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Mr. Smith had lived in Marietta for the past five years. He attended Sprayberry High School. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roland Smith Sr.
