His obituary: Dr. Todd Johnny Reynolds, February 2, 1971 – June 22, 2008. Syracuse, N.Y. – Dr. Todd Johnny Reynolds, of Syracuse, N.Y., died Sunday, June 22, 2008. Dr. Reynolds, a post-doctoral Fellow at Syracuse University's Center on Human Policy, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Syracuse. He was 37. A son of William and Pat Reynolds, he was born Feb. 2, 1971, in Oconomowoc, Wis. Dr. Reynolds received a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, and two master's degrees from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Ga. Dr. Reynolds was a promising young scholar in disability studies. This summer, Reynolds had been teaching the course Geography of Disability through University College and the Department of Geography in the Maxwell School. Reynolds specialized in the experiences of people with disabilities in natural disasters. Dr. Reynolds is survived by three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Shane Reynolds of Truckee, Calif., Michael Stockton of Atlanta, Ga., and Matthew Stockton, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; and his father, William S. Reynolds of Marietta. Dr. Reynolds also has numerous relatives in Crawford County. Memorials were held in Syracuse, at Syracuse University at the Center on Human Policy and at University of Oklahoma at Todd's favorite Restaurant, Cafe' Plaid in Norman.
