His obituary: Reid Bass, 18, Marietta teen-ager. Reid William Bass, 18, of Marietta died Saturday. Services will be 2 p.m. today at New Salem Baptist Church with Dr. Nelson Price and the Rev. Charles A. Sineath officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A lifelong resident of Marietta, Mr. Bass had attended Sprayberry High School. He was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church and was employed by Ernie's Steakhouse in Kennesaw. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Reid Bass of Marietta; his father, Ronnie William Bass of Kennesaw; on brother, Ronnie William Bass Jr. of Kennesaw; one sister, Lisa Bass Carr of Marietta; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Reid of Kennesaw; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Young of Blue Ridge. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
