Her obituary: Joy Proctor Hyde, January, 1974 – March 19, 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Joy Proctor Hyde on March 19, 2024 at 50 years old. Joy is survived by her mother Brenda Holcomb, father Mike Proctor, step-father Larry Holcomb, step-mother Betty Proctor, grandmother Annette Whitley, siblings Charity Samples (Mark Samples), Phillip Proctor (Ashley Proctor), and Michael Proctor, husband Legrand Lee Hyde, children Faith Proctor, Chase Elbert (Kaci Elbert), and Kaylee Tobi Hyde, step-daughter Alex Hyde, grandchildren Logan Greenberg and Taylor Rushing, niece Selena Riley Proctor, and nephew Kable Proctor. She is predeceased by her grandparents George and Jean Proctor, sister Grace Proctor, and grandfather Elbert Whitley. Joy was a beacon of kindness and love, touching the lives of all who knew her. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Joy also had a larger than life personality and made her mark wherever she went and with whoever she met. May her legacy of love and compassion continue to inspire us all. Visitation will be held on April 6th, 2024 at McDonald & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. The service will follow at 12:00 PM.
