His obituary: Richard W Bowers, 35. Richard W. Bowers III, 35, of Woodstock, GA passed away on July 13, 2009. Rick was born in Ocala, Florida and received his BS in Biology from Kennesaw State University, an MS in Ecology from Kent State University, and was a PhD student at Kent State. He worked at Ecological Solutions and taught at Kennesaw State University. Recently, he had a dissertation fellowship named in his honor from Kent State. He was involved in the local music scene as a singer and a partner at Walk to Run Records. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons Will and Jack; daughter Abigail; parents Rick and Mary Bowers; sisters Carole Bowers and Jennifer Zahir; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Janice Leahy; and brother-in-law Stanley Suvoski. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 6pm until 8pm at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. A funeral mass will be on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Transfiguration Catholic Church at 11am. Arrangements by H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill 1157 Old Canton Rd. Marietta, GA 30068.
