Her obituary; Carla Powell, 18, Marietta resident. Carla Dorothy Powell, 18, of Marietta, died Tuesday. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, with the Rev. Dr. James King officiating. Survivors include her mother, Billie H. Powell of east Cobb; a sister, Tara Ann Powell of east Cobb; three aunts, Lynn Howell of Roswell, Dorothy Rachels of east Cobb and Mary Ann Powell of Washington, D.C.; and her grandmother, Edith Powell of Wilmington, N.C. Contributions can be made to Wieuca Road Baptist Church. Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain is in charge of arrangements.
