His obituary: Jammion Lane Teems. Mr. Jammion Lane Teems, 28, of Canton, departed this life Sunday morning, Sept. 28, 2008, in Canton from injuries sustained in an automobile-pedestrian accident. Jammion was born Sept. 29, 1980, in Whitfield County, a son of Hugh Doyle Teems Jr. and Deborah Lynn Smith Teems of Canton. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Florence and Leaton Smith, and a niece, Brooke Cheyenne Teems. Along with his parents he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Herbie Perkins of Woodstock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mardis and Ellice Teems of Rome and Dammion and Brittany Teems of Marietta; grandparents, Betty and Fred Cassell of Ranger and Hugh Doyle Teems Sr. and Linda Teems of Centre, Ala.; nieces, Jullian and Callie Perkins, Brynley and Curry Teems, Madison, Savannah, McKinley and Payton Teems; nephew, Denver Teems. Services are Wednesday at noon in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Trey Starnes, Albert E. Cain and Ellice Teems officiating. TeRan VanMeter, Steven Miller, Blake Bowlin, Josh Burk, Shannon Williams and Christopher and Dustin Burke will serve as pallbearers. Honorary escort will be members of the Trailblazin Christian Bikers Club.
