Her obituary: Jean Marie Engle, April 21, 1982 – September 22, 2018. Jean Marie Engle, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 36. Jean was a loving person who showed compassion to others with her tender heart. She was generous and wanted to share whatever she had – whether a lot or a little – with others. She inspired others with her love of life through her smile, acts of kindness and joy she found in the little things. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10) Jean was creative and loved art, drawing and scrapbooking. She had a passion for geology and had many large collections of gemstones – her favorite being micah and white quartz. Having lived in Georgia all of her life, Jean was so excited on the rare occasion of snow. She would create snowmen with as much snow as she could gather – sometimes having to decorate them with twigs and leaves because they were so small; this was the kind of joy she shared with others. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord's people. (Philemon 1:7) Jean's memory will be cherished by her grandmother, Jean Morris of Sandy Springs; father, Rick Engle (Nancy) of Marietta; mother, Karen Brock of Canton; siblings, Joanna Hanrahan (Sean) of Canton, Julie Henderson (Craig) of Woodstock, Jessica Salyers (Jonah) of Acworth, James Brock (Carlie) of Acworth and Greg Engle of Marietta; nieces, Jemma Henderson and Audrey Brock; nephew on the way, Keegan Hanrahan; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws and her extended family in Christ at The Church at Acworth. Jean's family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188. A celebration of her life will follow in the Reece Memorial Chapel with her brother, James Brock, officiating.
