Her obituary: Meagan Marie Hortman, March 11, 1984 – December 13, 2021. Meagan Marie Hortman of Johns Creek, GA, was called into the home of her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 13, 2021. She has fought the good fight. She has finished the course. She has kept the faith. And now she has her victory. Meagan was born on March 11th, 1984, to Blaine and Nancy Ball in Louisa, KY. She lived most of her life in Marietta, GA, and Norcross, GA. She was married to Jason Hortman in Norcross, GA, on May 26, 2018. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2007 with a double degree in Chemistry and Middle Grades Education. She was a teacher with Landry Academy and at Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, GA. Meagan was a devoted wife, mother, and lover of Jesus, and gave 100% at all times to caring for her family and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Blaine G. Ball II and Bernice Ball of Louisa, KY, her maternal grandfather, Dr. William McLean of Marietta, and her father, Blaine G. Ball III, of Marietta. She is survived by her husband, Jason Hortman, and her three children: Charlie Hortman, Samuel Hortman, and Eleanor Hortman. She is also survived by her grandmother, Ann McLean of Marietta, her mother, Nancy Ball of Norcross, and her sisters, brother, and their spouses: Betsy Rowell (James) of Norcross, Annie Johnston (Kyle) of Roswell, GA, Katie Campbell (Tony) of Woodstock, GA, Stacy Jenkins (Murray) of Johns Creek, and Blaine G. Ball IV (Edwina) of Marietta. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews Dylan Rowell, Josiah Rowell, Ephraim Rowell, Daniel Rowell, Reagan Rowell, McLean Rowell, Knox Johnston, Alex Johnston, Autumn Johnston, Malachi Ball, Elijah Loftin, Ava Campbell, Donovan Campbell, Camryn Jenkins, Micah Jenkins, and Gia Jenkins. A celebration of Meagan's life will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 4:00 PM at Generations Norcross Church, 706 N Peachtree St, Norcross, GA 30071 (Family Life Center).
