Colin Crowell. Colin died on December 3, 2015.
His obituary: Crowell, Charles Colin. Charles Colin Crowell died Thursday, December 3 in Anchorage, Alaska. He was 29 years old. Although a resident of Alaska for the past 4 years, Colin was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in 2004 and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Kennesaw State University in 2010. Colin always possessed a natural curiosity about the world around him and was equally at home fixing a broken tractor or debating politics and the state of the economy. Colin grew up loving sports, particularly playing soccer. As an adult, he loved traveling and spending time outdoors skiing, hunting, and salmon fishing. Colin found fulfillment in Alaska where he was able to combine his skills and his love of the outdoors while working in construction and as a salmon fisherman. He was always happiest when he was able to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. All who knew and loved Colin will remember him as a kind, loving, thoughtful son, brother, relative and loyal friend. Colin is survived by his parents, Bill and Helen Marie (Daniels) Crowell; his sister, Katharine Crowell-Goergen, and her husband, Corey Goergen; his grandparents, Jack and Judy (Collins) Daniels of Savannah, Georgia; and so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished him dearly. Colin is also survived by his loving family members in Alaska, Dr. Timothy Cohen; his children, Witten and Avivi Cohen; and Tim's father, Mr. Al Cohen, who all loved and accepted Colin into their hearts and home. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Frances Crowell of Atlanta, Georgia. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Colin on Friday, December 11 at 2 p.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA 30062. A funeral reception will follow at the church in La Salette Hall. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Colin's memory to The Link Counseling Center, http://www.thelink.org/donations.htm.
