Class of 2005

Teddy Wilson. Teddy died on July 4, 2019.

His obituary: Edward P. Wilson, September 27, 1986 – July 4, 2019. Edward P. Wilson (Teddy) passed away the evening of July 4, 2019. He was 32. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Pemberton Wilson (Pem), sister Jennifer S. Stevens, and brother Thomas A.W. Wilson, as well as his brother-in-law Kit Stevens, and nephews Strafford and Attley Stevens. He is also survived by his grandparents Thomas and Eleanor Lewis, 2 aunts, 3 uncles, and 13 cousins. Teddy was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 27, 1986, to Elizabeth P. and Richard W. Wilson Jr. Teddy grew up in Marietta, GA where he attended Sprayberry High School, where he was voted Winter Court prince and played saxophone in the band. He was also an avid guitar player, with power chords emanating from his room from a young age. He had a natural curiosity for understanding how things work, and was constantly breaking apart and re-assembling anything he could get his hands on, from discarded wall-mount telephones and stereos in elementary school, to old cars beginning in his early teen years, and became an audiophile who collected and built stereo systems as an adult. He was an early internet adopter, taking advantage of EBay using his father's username around age 8 to buy and sell trading cards, and later to trade in audio equipment. He built his first computer at age 13, and later built them for friends and family. An ideal gift for Teddy was a textbook on physical engineering, or a niche electrical tool. After attending college at Georgia Southern University and Kennesaw State University, he pursued his love of cars, working in the parts department at Global Imports BMW, and then as Mini Genius and Lot Manager at MINI of Kennesaw. Teddy took immense pride in his work, and deeply enjoyed the technical aspects of his work, as well as going the extra mile for the people he came in contact with. Teddy also loved black licorice, fortune cookies, anime, very very cute animals, photography, German engineering, and old things that will do the trick better than new things. He will be very much missed by his family and friends. Edward's memorial interment service for family and dear friends will be led by the Reverend Juan Sandoval at 2:00 PM EST on Monday July 15, 2019 at the Memorial Garden at the Cathedral of St. Philip, followed by a Reception at 3:00 PM for all of Edward's loved ones in the Hall of Gratitude, The Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Rd., NW, Atlanta, GA 30305.
