Her obituary: Samantha Paige Paxton Payne. Miss Samantha Paige Paxton Payne, age 15, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 from the Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Rev. James Blalock, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Miss Payne was a student at Sprayberry High School and a member of the School Chorus. She volunteered at the Shrine Hospital and with the Brain Tumor Research Department. Survivors include her mother and father, Kim and Tony Payne of Marietta; biological father, Charles Paxton of Jacksonville, FL; stepbrothers, Paul Paxton of Jacksonville, FL; and Anthony Payne of Canton; stepsister, Melissa Paxton of Jacksonville; FL; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Key of Canton and Mrs. Lou Emma Paxton of Jacksonville, FL.
