His obituary: Tyler Cody Davis, October 21, 1990 – August 18, 2011. Tyler Cody Davis, 20, of Marietta died Thursday, August 18, 2011. Tyler was a very active young man who celebrated life. He loved his family, his church, his school, his work, and his many, many friends who all loved him. Tyler was a 2009 graduate of Sprayberry High School where he played soccer and was elected team captain his senior year. He was currently enrolled at Kennesaw State University; starting his third year while also working at Quick Trip. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Jan Paine and his grandfather, Marvin O. Messer. Tyler is survived by his father, Michael Allen Davis; grandmother Dorothy Davis Messer; uncles, Mark Davis and Martin Paine; aunts, Lynn Davis Aberle and Janice Davis; cousins, Brandon Aberle, Kelly Williamson, and Jessica Davis; and several extended family members. Tyler is also survived by his special family: Raymond Green; Danny and Lynn Hummer; Mark, Trisha, and Jordan Serroels; and very special mentors, Ohma and Angie Brown. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion UMC, Johnsons Ferry Road in Marietta, with reception and visitation to follow.
