Funeral is Sunday, 2pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Pastor Justin McTeer officiating. The family is receiving friends on Saturday at the funeral home between the hours of 4-8pm. Michael graduated from Sprayberry High School in 2011 and attended Georgia Highlands College. Michael enjoyed life and his love of family and friends was evident to all who knew him. His parents – Courtney and Joey Bates, and his sisters – Emily Bates and Taylor Bates, survive him.
