Nicholas Karatonis. Nicholas died on March 1, 2026.
His obituary: Nicholas Alexander Karantonis, July 10, 1994 – March 1, 2026. Nicholas (Nick) Alexander Karantonis, 31, of Roswell, Georgia, was born on July 10, 1994, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Mark and Amy Karantonis. He passed away on March 1, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Nick lived life with passion–for his wife, family, friends, animals, riding, and his career. He and Logan married in April, and though their official union was brief, their love was powerful and enduring. Nick always made time for the people he loved, and he cared deeply for every animal he met. His beloved Dean recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge; Sagwa and Hopper remain to help comfort Logan. If you were Nick's friend, you were part of a fierce, loyal tribe–lifelong friends who shaped one another and created memories that will last forever. Nick's favorite pastime was riding. He cherished beautiful weather and an open road, especially when he could ride alongside his dad, his closest riding partner. His father was with him just minutes before the accident. Nick took immense pride in his work. He began his career with Post Properties in Atlanta in 2012, later worked with TriBridge in Nashville, TN, and ultimately found his home at Walton Communities in Roswell. He was known for his dedication and earned numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. Nick was preceded in death by his Papou (Nick Karantonis), and his Grand Sherm (Sherman Heimburger). He is survived by his devoted wife, Logan; his parents, Mark and Amy; his brother Michael (Faith) and nephew Link; Nana Frankie; Auntie Jane; Poppi and Oma (Alec and Susan Cumming); Yia Yia (Judith Karantonis); Uncle Greg; Aunt Dawn; cousins Matthew and Brittany; and Uncle Tony and Tammy. His extended family also includes Logan's mother Heidi (Ryan); brother Seth, sister Leah; Grammy; Opa, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved and supported him. In Logan's words, I will love you in every life. We will love you in every life–and miss you every day. Ride free, Bubba. Mommy loves you beyond measure. A casual visitation will be held at Marietta Funeral Home (915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30066) on Thursday, March 12 from 3 – 7 p.m. We welcome Nick's friends and family to join us in celebrating the handsome, smart, fun, loving, caring, and wonderfully bold man he was.
