Her obituary: Mrs. Bird. Adell Woodward Bird, 55, 525 Flintwood Drive, Marietta, died Friday. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Marietta with Dr. Charles Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hills Memorial Park, Marietta. Born in China, she had lived in Birmingham, Ala. during her early life and was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and Judson College in Alabama. She had lived in Marietta for the past 22 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta and was a music teacher for the Cobb County School system for the past 10 years, having taught at East Cobb Middle School. Survivors include her husband, Joseph S. Bird of Marietta; a daughter, Mrs. George E. (Betsy) Holland Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; a son, Joseph S. Bird III of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her father, Dr. Frank T. Woodward of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Nathan Byrd of Tucker; and aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
