His obituary: Skinner, LeRoy. LeRoy Skinner, 81, of Marietta died Saturday August 6, 2011. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Rev. Alton N. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Mr. Skinner was a native of Gainesville and moved to Marietta in 1950. He was a member of Holt Road Baptist Church. Mr. Skinner was a veteran of the United States Air Force National Guard. He retired from the Cobb County School system in 1991 after teaching at Sprayberry and Walton High Schools. He also taught at Chattahoochee Technical College. Mr. Skinner is survived by his sons Sam Skinner of Acworth and David Skinner of Marietta. Daughter, Paula Skinner of Marietta. Brother, Richard Skinner of Gainesville. Sister, Carolyn Neverla of N. Augusta, SC. Grandchildren, Katelyn Skinner, Zachary Skinner and Carolina Skinner. The family will receive friends Monday August 8, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
